WHAT IS YOUR DREAM JOB?
I want to play overseas. After that, I would like to teach Spanish and coach high school!
NAME ONE OF YOUR ROLE MODELS AND BRIEFLY DESCRIBE THEIR INFLUENCE ON YOU.
I can’t choose just one, so I narrowed it down to three! The first is my parents. I included them because they have a model marriage. Second is Jordan Matthews, who plays wide receiver for the Philadelphia Eagles. He is like a brother to me, and the way he has lived his life makes me want to emulate him. Lastly, is former Belmont men’s basketball player, Kerron Johnson. He is also like family to me, and he always pushed me to be better.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE BASKETBALL MEMORY?
In high school we were playing in an away tournament and stopped at a Walmart. Our coach told us to go talk to five different people about Jesus. He always challenged me spiritually and his influence has helped make me who I am today.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE CLASS YOU’VE TAKEN AT BELMONT?
All of them! Seriously, the professors here are amazing. My Spanish courses with Dr. McCoy have been incredible; he is one of the reasons I continued taking Spanish and fell in love with it. His passion for teaching and Spanish is contagious.
WHAT DO YOU WANT YOUR LEGACY TO BE AT BELMONT?
I want to leave as someone who was a great basketball player but an even greater person. I want people to see a light through me, and I want to make an impact on others using this platform God has given me.
WHEN YOU ARE NOT PLAYING BASKETBALL OR STUDYING, WHERE CAN WE FIND YOU?
If I am not practicing in the gym, you can find me at any healthy restaurant in Nashville! I love food! I also love reading, doing yoga, spending time with friends and volunteering at different places in the community.
